CSSD released its 2016-17 Annual Report. CSSD faculty has been busy convening international working groups, organizing conferences and panels, and publishing articles, monographs, and edited books.

CSSD welcomed its first Director of Development, Meera Ananth, who has been instrumental in collaborating with faculty to update the Center’s strategic plan, hone its mission statement, and heighten its public profile.

CSSD's project on Reframing Gendered Violence was featured in the July issue of EuropeNow, which was dedicated to "The Gender of Power."

On June 19, 2017, CSSD’s working group on Bandung Humanisms is presenting an international workshop entitled Bandung Humanisms: Towards a New Understanding of the Global South at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore.
